- Contact and delivery information: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address. Our payment provider also collects billing information during checkout.
- Order information: products, quantities, prices, taxes, shipping charges, order numbers, payment status, payment-provider reference numbers, and shipment, cancellation, return, and refund details. An order record is created when checkout starts, even if payment is not completed.
- Communications: information you choose to share when asking about an order or requesting help.
- Technical information: our website and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the site.
Payment details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout. Our store does not receive or store your full payment card number or security code.
How we use information
We use information to maintain your cart, process payments and applicable taxes, fulfill and track orders, send order confirmations and shipment updates, handle support requests and refunds, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain business records. We may also use or disclose information to comply with legal obligations or protect our customers and business.
Third parties that help operate the store
We share information needed to provide the services below. These providers may also process information under their own privacy policies.
- Stripe: provides hosted checkout, payment processing, refunds, and sales tax calculation through Stripe Tax. We send order details and available customer information to Stripe and receive contact, shipping, and payment-status information needed to manage your order. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- SMTP2GO: delivers transactional email, including order confirmations and shipment updates. It processes recipient addresses, message content (which may include purchased items, delivery addresses, and tracking links), and delivery information. See SMTP2GO's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: where used to connect and protect this website, Cloudflare processes website traffic and technical information such as IP addresses and request details. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Shipping carriers: the carrier handling your shipment receives the delivery information needed to transport your order. Our tracking links support USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL; the carrier used depends on your shipment. Opening a tracking link sends your tracking number to that carrier, whose privacy policy applies on its website.
- Hosting and technical providers: providers that operate our website, data storage, and related infrastructure may process store records and technical information as needed to support those services.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a cart cookie called berchfarm_cart to remember selected products and quantities. Its expiration is set to 30 days whenever your cart is saved. The site also uses necessary cookies for session features, form security, and administrator sign-in.
The storefront does not currently include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. Stripe and infrastructure providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies for their services. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect the cart, checkout, or sign-in features. Email images may load from our website or an image host when you open a message, generating a normal request to that server.
External links and social media
Our site links to Facebook and other external websites. If you follow a link or contact us on Facebook, the information you provide there is also handled by that service. See Meta's Privacy Policy. A link to Facebook does not itself embed a Facebook tracking pixel on our storefront.
Retention and security
We retain order and related records to fulfill purchases, provide support, address returns and disputes, and meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it is needed; order records are not automatically deleted when your cart cookie expires.
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect information, but no website or storage system can guarantee complete security. Keep your order links private because they provide access to order details. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose not to provide information, although we need certain details to process and deliver an order. You can ask us about the information we hold about you or request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including receiving a copy of your information or appealing a decision about a request.
Contact us using the method below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may need to retain some records for legal or legitimate business reasons. Please do not send payment card details or sensitive identity documents in an initial request.
Children's privacy
Our store is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
